When are auctions held?
A:
Auctions are held most Monday evenings, starting at 6pm.

How long does an auction last?
A:
A 500 lot auction typically lasts about 4 hours. We try to sell approx. 125 lots per hour.

All auctions are held at our auction house, located at: 2556 7th Ave East, North St. Paul, MN 55109
 
Q:
How can I view items for sale online?
A:
To view the complete catalog with photos, please visit www.lutherauctions.com and click on Upcoming Auctions at the top of the page. The catalog is available by Thursday prior to each Monday auction.
 
Q:
How can I view items for sale in person?
A:
All are encouraged to view and inspect items for sale during our Auction Preview.
Preview Times: Sunday 4pm to 8pm & Monday 9am to 6pm
 
Q:
How can I register and get a bidding number?
A:
To register and get a bidding number in person, please come to the front desk during Auction Preview. Please have a valid photo ID available. (Registration is still available after the auction has started.)
 
Q:
How can I leave an absentee bid?
A:

Absentee bid via ONLINE: Visit www.lutherauctions.com and browse for the correct catalog and item(s) you want to bid on. Click the 'Register to Bid' button and follow the onscreen prompts to complete online registration. Then click the 'Absentee Bid' button and complete the bid submission online.

Absentee bid AT PREVIEW: Bid forms are available for you to complete at the front desk. Please have a valid photo ID available.

Absentee bid via PHONE: Call (651) 770-6175. We will need the following information: Name, Address, Phone Number, Credit Card Number (including full number, expiration date, CVV/CVC code, and billing address). For each bid, please provide the lot#, description, and max bid price.

Absentee bid via EMAIL: Email tluther@lutherauctions.com. We will need the following information: Name, Address & Phone Number. For each bid, please provide the lot#, description, and max bid price. *Please call us to verify we received your email, and to provide your Credit Card Number (including full number, expiration date, CVV/CVC code, and billing address).

Are there any additional fees added to the final bid price?
A:
Yes. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium as well as Sales Tax added to the final bid price. There is an additional $1.00 per lot charged for each successful absentee bid.
Live Bidder Example: Bid price: $100.00 + 15% Buyers Premium = $115.00 + 7.375% Sales Tax = $123.48
Absentee Bidder Example: Bid Price: $100.00 + 15% Buyers Premium = $115.00 + $1.00 Ab. Svc. Fee. = $116.00 + 7.375% Sales Tax = $124.56

What if I am a tax exempt buyer?
A:
You will need to complete a Minnesota ST3 Certificate of Exemption Form. Blank forms are available at the front desk or can be found online at http://www.revenue.state.mn.us/Forms_and_Instructions/st3.pdf and we will keep your completed copy on file for you.
 
Q:
When can I pick up items won at auction?
A:
Pickup Times: Auction night until 20 minutes post auction completion, Tuesday 9am to 6pm, & Wednesday 9am to 5pm. If you are unable to pick up during these times, please make arrangements with the auctioneer.
 
Q:
Do you deliver items won at auction?
A:
Luther Auctions can refer you to someone who offers delivery. Please call (651) 770-6175 to obtain their contact information.
 
Q:
Do you ship items won at auction?
A:
Luther Auctions DOES NOT provide packing and shipping services. We recommend our local UPS Store to assist you in packing and shipping of ‘small packages’. Shipping of large items and furniture will need to be arranged by the buyer with another third party shipper. We require that the shipping address match the registered billing address of the credit card used for payment. If buyer needs item shipped to an alternate address, then payment must be made by wire transfer. Please call (651) 770-6175 for more information.
